Fun for Users, a Snap for Snapple

With our partners at Campfire NYC and Fixative, TrestleMedia helped to create an interactive Facebook application to promote Snapple’s Papaya Mango tea as part of a tie-in with the CBS program, "The Amazing Race."

The Snap-a-Snapple application challenged users to upload photos of the Snapple tea based on an ever-changing list of themes such as "Snap this Snapple with a tall building." The first to upload a photo within the theme won that challenge. All winners were then entered into a contest to win $5,000.

A Drupal CMS was used to create the backend of this Facebook application. With a single click, Snapple administrators could declare a winner for each challenge and post to the user's Facebook wall, publish the winner's photo to the application gallery and reveal next challenge. In addition, all likes, shares and submissions were tracked in the CMS for immediate real-time reporting.

Snap-a-Snapple received more than 40,000 visitors and produced hundreds of user-generated submissions and content shares.
