Bringing a Restoration to Life
The National Museum of Women in the Arts brings recognition to the achievements of women artists of all periods and nationalities by exhibiting, preserving, acquiring, and researching art by women and by teaching the public about their accomplishments.
The National Museum of Women in the Arts was creating a new exhibit of Artist Nuns of the Renaissance. However, a primary piece was still being restored and could not be moved to the museum for the display.
TrestleMedia created an interactive exhibit detailing the historical significance of Fra Natelli’s painting and demonstrating both the restoration processes and the final artwork. The interactive application was diplayed at a hands on workstation in the exhibit for museum visitors to explore content and examine the restoration of the painting at their own pace.
